Symposium Bookstore:
Study in Color & Light
Location: 240 Westminster Street, Providence, RI
Project: Re-Designing the Experience
The existing space for this bookstore was crowd-ed with no range in atmosphere, color temperature or lighting fixtures. The addition of seating and lounging room as well as the relocation of the reception to the center of the floor plan dealt with the tight nature of the space. Mate-rials were chosen to fit in a simple monochromatic color scheme to increase the vibrancy of the interior. The dynamic collection of light provides a welcoming ambiance that creates an interactive space were customers are likely to spend more time and money!
